First verdict on panto is Peter Pan-tastic!

:: This review appeared in the Express & Star on Monday 8th December ::

Ten-year-old Chloe Mills-Harding, a pupil at Great Bridge Primary School, was in the first audience to see a preview of Peter Pan ahead of its launch tomorrow. The youngster, of Great Meadow, Tipton, was with mother Cath and friends from 9th Tipton Brownies on Saturday. Here, she gives her verdict on the show.

The whole pantomime was really great but The Krankies were the best - they were just so funny. They sang an Amy Winehouse song and wore a really big wig which kept falling off and really made everyone laugh.

Tinkerbell was brilliant because she started as a green shining light and then there was a puff of smoke and suddenly she was a real person like magic. She was wearing flashing rollerboots, they were all multi-coloured and looked brilliant.

I really loved a scene with the big pirate ship in it because we were all given sponges to throw at Captain Hook and he kept throwing them back at us. It was so funny and went on for ages.

Captain Hook was quite funny. I didn't know who he was off the television but he was good and we booed him. Peter an was really good too, I liked him. He was good at getting us all singing and taught us lots of different songs.

My favourite bit of the adventure though was the scene in the nursery on top of the roof. The scenery was brilliant - the first time you saw Peter Pan was when he flew in from the sky and landed on the massive fireplace. It was fantastic and he really looked like he was flying.

The bit where Wendy had to think of all these happy thoughts so she could learn to fly made my mum cry. She loves Peter Pan.

Another great bit was when a big crocodile came out of the side of the stage to eat Captain Hook and some material came down from the ceiling as the water - it looked brilliant.

The whole thing was great and it was a shame when it finished but we loved talking about it all afterwards.
